Alaska Crusing

There comes a time when a parent desires to reunite the family for one more big adventure. So it was with my sister who amazingly was able to convince children, grandchildren, in-laws, and even a brother to join her on a cruise of Alaska's inland waterways. In June, 2008 the intrepid 12 departed Vancouver on board a Holland American ship - but without my sister & brother-in-law due to a last minute medical situation. We were excited to experience our first cruise as we normally do land tours. However, we were left with a feeling of detachment from an “alaskan experience”; excepting our excursion with the sled dogs.
